Les os sont la structure soutenant notre corps. Ces organes sont bien vascularis\u00e9s et sont constitu\u00e9s de diff\u00e9rents tissus. Selon leur position et leur fonction, ils ont une forme et une composition diff\u00e9rentes. Les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques, qui sont essentielles, sont donn\u00e9es par la composition du tissu osseux. Les os sont principalement constitu\u00e9s d\u2019une partie externe compacte (coricalis ou compacta) et d\u2019une structure interne \u00ab\u2009spongieuse\u2009\u00bb (spongiosa). Ainsi, 95 % de la matrice osseuse est constitu\u00e9e de collag\u00e8ne1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Les os sont en constante \u00e9volution<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Les os n’ont pas une construction statique, mais subissent une conversion r\u00e9guli\u00e8re. Ils s\u2019adaptent \u00e9galement aux charges externes. Ainsi, les cellules osseuses (ost\u00e9ocytes) sont d\u00e9grad\u00e9es par les ost\u00e9oclastes (cellules de d\u00e9gradation osseuse) et de nouvelles cellules sont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par les ost\u00e9oblastes (cellules de construction osseuse). On pense qu’en l’espace de 7 \u00e0 10 ans, l\u2019\u00e9quivalent de toute notre masse osseuse est remplac\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Malheureusement, il existe aussi des maladies affectant les os, comme l\u2019ost\u00e9oporose par exemple. L\u2019ost\u00e9oporose peut conduire \u00e0 un os mince et poreux. Cela augmente le risque de fracture et limite la mobilit\u00e9. L\u2019activit\u00e9 physique pourrait en partie contrecarrer la perte osseuse, car les forces agissant sur le syst\u00e8me squelettique pourraient conduire \u00e0 la formation de nouvel os 2,3<\/sup>. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9 que l\u2019apport d\u2019un peptide de collag\u00e8ne sp\u00e9cifique peut avoir un effet positif sur la min\u00e9ralisation osseuse chez les femmes dont la min\u00e9ralisation osseuse est r\u00e9duite4<\/sup>. Ainsi, une activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, une alimentation et un mode de vie sains pourraient \u00eatre favorables.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
